There are actually three (3) major dams in Bulacan which supply the majority of Luzon’s water resources. These are the Angat Dam, Bustos Dam, and Ipo Dam.

Ipo Dam is a gravity concrete dam that was constructed in 1984. It has a total catchment area of an enormous 6,600 hectares and can store 7.5 million cubic meters of water. Just those facts alone will help you imagine how large of a protected area the Ipo Dam covers, right?
