Bubblemaker Dive and Beach Resort is many traveler’s choices of stay within Anilao, Batangas. By its name alone, it is already telling which demographics does the Bubblemaker Dive and Beach Resort caters to—if not the average person who likes to unwind, it has got to be the thrill-seekers who want to explore the deeper layers of the sea.

But while the resort itself is generally-simplistic, as probably already hinted by the establishment’s outward appearance, it is not absent with the right amenities which pamper their modern customers. If your lifestyle involves getting connected to the internet or having it chilled when you relax, this venue has Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms. CHECK ROOM RATES HERE

For a place that is at a significant distance away from the nearby water, it is quite telling what kind of a place Casa Miguel Resort is—a man-made venue aimed mostly as a functional place for important events and occasions, such as birthday celebration or parties.CASA MIGUEL RESORT

A glance into Casa Miguel Resort’s official Facebook should already attest to that fact. When not looking into the happy faces of its previous customers, the page shows settings that, all of which share a similar theme—a place for many joyous occasions.

However, for those who would prefer to extend their stay, the Casa Miguel Resort features some small but comfortable rooms, aimed at rejuvenating the wearied bodies of its customers. CHECK ROOM RATES HERE

To be in Batangas, the main highlight would often boil down to one of two things—to be by the beach enjoying the shallow waters of the seashore and the beautiful sceneries therefore or to do almost the same thing, but by the lake.

For those who prefer the latter over the former, a place like the San Roque Paradise Hotel quickly makes a destination of choice for its strategic location on the map. A family-owned small business, the San Roque Paradise Hotel, only has ten rooms to accommodate people, which makes it’s a typical venue for a small number of people traveling in a group.

But, of course, the main highlight of being in this place is the lake itself, which is an ideal swimming spot by visitors who often prefer the freshwater of the lake over the salty one at sea. For the adventurers who like to get a comprehensive experience of the surface water of the lake, traveling by boat is undeniably a superior experience. CHECK ROOM RATES HERE

There are many establishments around Taal Lake that capitalize on its presence with a variety of water activities. But nothing is probably is as entertaining as being able to catch your fish, which will be cooked and served fresh on your bidding. The Villa Khristalene Resort enables just that.

However, this is not to say that it was the only exciting part of choosing to stay at the Khristalene Resort. It, too, knows how to entertain its customers to the fullest extent, such as by offering a roundtrip around the Taal Lake by boat for an affordable rate of only P1500, suitable for seven persons. CHECK ROOM RATES HERE

Set neither by the sea nor by the lake, but at a considerable distance from the nearest river, the Vine Woods Resort is a place that invests in the idea of relaxation more so than entertainment. Built-in a location that is essentially close to nature, Vine Woods Resort aimed at bringing a balance to the overall atmosphere by enabling activities that are worthy of any person’s while.

Whether you like swimming in the pool, riding across an open plain with an ATV, or simply appreciating the horizon at a distance, the Vine Woods Resort has them at its sleeve. CHECK ROOM RATES HERE

Situated at a distance relatively away from the closest shore of the Taal Lake, the Mt. Maculot View Resort is a place that strives to stand on its own with its own set of entertainment—with a twist. It might seem too gimmicky, but it is only Mt. Maculot View Resort that features a pool with salt water in it—that is, water infused with the Thalasso Mineral Sea Salt, which is known for its many healthful benefits.

Of course, a feature such as this is not necessarily taking people away from Batangas’ surrounding seawaters. But if you are around Cuenca and was looking for a place to unwind, you can never go wrong in soaking yourself in the said mineral-enriched pool. CHECK ROOM RATES HERE

In case you’re looking for private resorts in Batangas, here are some of the best in the province.

Beach Resorts in Masasa, Tingloy

Masasa Beach lies in the southern tip of Maricaban Island on the peaceful and quiet island municipality of Tingloy. The place is a favorite destination for those who want to experience something different.

Masasa Beach Tingloy Batangas

Masasa Beach, during my recent travel to Tingloy.

Before, there are no resorts or accommodations in the area so that visitors would camp out at the seaside. However, due to environmental concerns and the increasing number of people visiting the area, camping is no longer permitted. Nonetheless, the warm and welcoming locals would be willing to rent a room if you ever decide to stay there for a night. But just recently, resorts and accommodations have started popping out in the area due to its increasing popularity.

There are also some activities you can do in the area, including boat riding, island hopping, snorkeling, swimming, or just strolling into the long stretch of serene shoreline.

A few hours from Metro Manila, you can get a glimpse of the ruins of the Parthenon. Situated in the town of Nasugbu, Fortune Island offers scenery that looks like it is straight from the Greek empire. The cerulean waters and white sand shoreline ads to the overall feel of being in Greece.

Standing on the island are the Parthenon-like columns and Greek-inspired statues, which are said to be the remnants of an abandoned beach house. It can be accessed via a 40-60 minutes boat ride from Barangay Wawa in Nasugbu. The secluded location of the island makes it an ideal spot for camping, snorkeling, swimming, and many other activities.

No cottages for rent are to be seen in the area since the place is developed to be a camping/picnic site. There also no accommodations available in the resort, and establishments can be seen except for the showers and toilet and staff stations.

Despite its growing popularity, the place is not yet too crowded, especially on weekdays, so you can still have a peaceful stroll on its long stretch of cream-colored shoreline.

Sombrero Island

Evident from its name, Sombrero Island is shaped like a hat. Nestled off the coast of Tingloy, this unique island offers two flavors in one spot. The brown rocky mountain, with its rounded peak, makes it a trek to conquer for many trekking enthusiasts. The mountain slopes down to the white sand beach that many beach lovers would love to see.
